This will be quick, but it will change your outlook.
Get a notebook, or open notes on your phone.
Get a pen.
“I am grateful for everything I have, everything I know, everything I am.”
ThenMake a list of at least 60 – 80 things you are grateful for.
- My husband
- My job
- My mom
- My dad
- Louis & Frankie (my doggos)
- My arms and legs
- My colleagues
You get the idea. You’ll get to 80 really quickly. You can do as many as you like, of course.
When you wake up in the morning – every morning – take out this list and read through it. It will take you 2 minutes. Do it.
I used to wake-up, grab my phone, check news headlines, scroll social and check Pinterest for OOTD inspo. Now, I read my list, and lay on back reminiscing in the good things I have in my life, then I get up and get ready. (Believe me, I still manage to make time for news and social during the day – we always find the time!)
This will ensure that you have a good day. Starting your day with a grateful heart and mind leaves you with no other way than having a good one.
The further my journey in life goes I realise that the more grateful I am the more things I have to be grateful for, and it helps me to become more present, and see what I have now.
Learn to interrupt your anxiety with gratefulness, start your day right and constantly remind yourself of those things.
